New Cyber Security Course in the Works at Tribhuvan University's Institute of Engineering Studies

TU Initiating the Plans to Offer Cyber Security at Post Graduate/Masters Level

Tribhuvan University's Institute of Engineering Studies (IOE) has taken steps to create a specialized course in cyber security. The course, titled "MAC in Computer Engineering Specialization in Network and Cyber Security," will be offered at the post-graduate level and overseen by Associate Professor Dr. Jyoti Tandukar, who heads a seven-member committee dedicated to this initiative.

The committee's primary task is to collaborate with national and international research institutions and industries. Their aim is to design a high-quality course structure that meets international standards and to develop a curriculum that aligns with these standards. Additionally, they're tasked with creating a detailed plan for the course's operation.

This new program comes in response to the growing demand within the country and worldwide for education, teaching, and research in cyber security defense systems. The IOE emphasizes the necessity to address these needs through a specialized post-graduate program.
